Approved Training Providers

Institutions, academies, and licensed educational organizations may apply to become Accredited Training Providers under the Board of Nutrition Specialties (BNS).
This designation is reserved exclusively for organizations, not individuals.

By becoming an approved provider, your institution will be authorized to offer structured exam preparation programs and educational content aligned with one or more of the Board’s official certification tracks:

Board Certified Clinical Nutrition Specialist (BCCNS)
Board Certified Obesity Management Specialist (BCOMS)
Board Certified Sports Nutrition Specialist (BCSNS)
Board Certified Pediatric Nutrition Specialist (BCPNS)
Board Certified Oncology Nutrition Specialist (BCONS)
Board Certified Applied Nutrition Specialist (BCANS)

Use of the official "Approved Training Provider" seal
Verified listing on the official website of the American Council (ACAPA)
Eligibility to be featured in official Board-led marketing campaigns, email bulletins, and professional directories
Inclusion in the global network of Board-accredited providers, enabling collaboration, exchange of expertise, and international visibility

Certification Authority and Quality Assurance

Approved institutions are authorized to deliver board-aligned training programs and administer internal assessments that meet the standards set by the Board of Nutrition Specialties.

Upon successful completion of the approved training and final internal examination, candidates become eligible to receive the official board certificate, issued and authenticated only by the Board of Nutrition Specialties.

All certificates are securely generated, numbered, and recorded by the Board’s centralized credentialing system.
Accreditation is only granted following an official site visit conducted by a board-appointed local representative.
